The Racing Site Bookie Staking Plan
Staking Plan
If you are just monitoring the system on our free 2 week trial we recommend using a £10 per bet staking plan and an imaginary £300 betting bank. This will demonstrate simply how the staking plan works.
You can start using the system with as much or as little as you like. Some clients start with just £300 in the bank and play with £10 bets to begin with and gradually build their bank higher and higher.
The Staking Plan Explained
As I mentioned earlier we will be using an imaginary betting bank of £300 and standard bets per horse of £10 for example purposes.
There are 2 types of bet we place when laying a horse on Betfair, a standard bet and a top-up bet. Top-ups are designed to recover money from any horses that actually win a race instead of losing.
The Top-Up bets are double last bet so if a horse wins a race we can recover the money we lost.
When a horse loses (we win) while we are betting with a Top-Up bet we simply revert back to our standard bets again for the next race. The example below is taken from actual results and demonstrates how the plan works.
Example
Horse Track Odds Stake Win/Lose Profit Bank £300
Lightening Affair Bev 1.95 £ 10.00 Lost £10.00 £310.00
Oblique Bev 2.14 £ 10.00 Won -£11.40 £298.60
Bold Eagle Bev 1.68 £ 20.00 Won -£13.60 £285.00
La Fanciulla Sand 2.26 £ 40.00 Lost £40.00 £325.00
Mystic Man Ham 2.15 £ 10.00 Lost £10.00 £335.00
Violette Ham 1.96 £ 10.00 Won -£9.60 £325.40
Portcullis Ham 1.97 £ 20.00 Lost £20.00 £345.40
Annibale Carro Ham 1.43 £ 10.00 Lost £10.00 £355.40
Abstract Art Salis 2.00 £ 10.00 Lost £10.00 £365.40
Naughty by Nature Sand 2.14 £ 10.00 Lost £10.00 £375.40
I hope this demonstrates how the Top-Up bets work and recover any money lost on horses that win their races.
IMPORTANT: We only ever have 3 Top-Up bets and then revert back to our standard bets at the beginning. This stops us getting silly and betting £160 per race and so on. This can be done at a later stage when we have sufficient funds in the bank to do so but not when starting out. This could easily wipe out our betting bank totally if there is a bad run of winning horses. Using this staking plan we can only really lose money if there are runs of 4 horses in a row winning their races. This rarely happens in my experience and means the bank will never be wiped out completely.
Based on £300 betting bank the bets are as follows: SB=£10, TOP1=£20, TOP2=£40, TOP3=£80 Then back to standard whatever the result.
